This project was completed on the 25th of February, 2019.
The Property Services IRC has completed the review of the Security Operations qualifications.
The newly endorsed qualifications were developed following the Queensland Training Ombudsman 2016/17 Annual Report and robust industry
In line with the Australian Industry and Skills Committee (AISC) directive, 6 new skill sets have been created with the intention of aligning licensing requirements across all jurisdictions.
Key changes are outlined below:
Key Change (KC) | Description |
KC 1 | The CPP10107 Certificate I in Security Operations was considered redundant and will be deleted from the National Register. |
KC 2 | CPP20212 Certificate II in Security Operations will be superseded by and non-equivalent to CPP20218 Certificate II in Security Operations. |
KC 3 | CPP30411 Certificate III in Security Operations will be superseded by and non-equivalent to CPP31318 Certificate III in Security Operations. |
KC 4 | 10 units of competency will be deleted from the National Register. |
KC 5 | 39 units have been updated to meet the Standards for Training Packages 2012. |
KC 6 | The development of 1 new qualification: CPP31418 Certificate III in Close Protection Operations. |
KC 7 | The development of 6 new skill sets intended to align with licensing requirements across all jurisdictions. |
KC 8 | The development of 6 new units of competency. |
