We collaborate with government, industry, and education to equip Australia’s built environment workforce with the skills needed for economic growth and resilience. We focus on addressing skills shortages, creating inclusive career pathways, and aligning training with industry needs to enhance workforce competitiveness and support sustainable infrastructure development.
Through strategic partnerships and policy contributions, we drive local job creation, regional economic growth, and Australia’s shift to a sustainable, circular economy. We analyse job roles in the built environment to ensure competency frameworks meet industry demands and government standards. Our work fosters innovation and long-term value, building a stronger, more resilient workforce for the future.
Victorian Skills Authority (VSA)
This project supports the Victorian Government by providing Executive Officer services to the Construction, Mining, and Property Services Industry Advisory Group (IAG). Through strategic advice, stakeholder engagement, and workforce research, the initiative aimed to align workforce development strategies with industry needs in these critical sectors.
Industry Associations
We have worked with industry partners on designing accredited courses to address the specialised skill requirements of niche markets within the built environment. By collaborating with industry associations, we developed competency-based training materials tailored to meet emerging workforce demands and enhance professional standards.
Victoria, Department of Transport and Planning
This project focused on reforming occupational licensing and trade registration processes within Victoria’s built environment. By developing updated policies, analysing current standards, and engaging industry stakeholders, the initiative aimed to enhance workforce flexibility, regulatory compliance, and overall skills standards in the sector.
Commonwealth Department of Employment and Workplace Relations
Contracted by the Commonwealth government as a Skills Service Organisation (SSO), we worked closely with industry to address national skills priorities and workforce challenges. Collaborating with stakeholders across 29 construction, plumbing, and finishing trades sectors and 14 property services sectors, we identified critical skills gaps and co-designed training solutions to meet industry needs. By aligning training products with industry requirements, we ensured workforce readiness to support Australia’s key sectors.
Tasmania, Department of State Growth
This project involved the development of a specialised Certificate II qualification designed to provide foundational skills for entry into Tasmania’s growing renewable energy sector. The initiative aimed to support the state’s transition to a greener economy by equipping individuals with the competencies needed for roles in sustainable infrastructure and energy production.
Commonwealth Department of Education and Training
We conducted a comprehensive analysis of international skills training in construction to identify gaps and opportunities for Australia to align its training products with regional workforce needs. This work spanned nine countries and provided strategic insights into how Australia could strengthen its global position in workforce development, particularly in the construction sector.
South Australia, Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure (2018)
This project involved conducting an in-depth review of Enterprise Registered Training Organisations (ERTOs) in South Australia to assess their operational efficiency and ability to meet the growing demands of the state’s infrastructure sector. The review aimed to identify areas for improvement and develop strategic models to optimise the operations of ERTOs in alignment with workforce needs.
