Construction is a sizable industry, employing 1,161,000 people with a workforce share of 8.7% with a projected employment growth of 5.8% over the next 5 years (https://labourmarketinsights.gov.au). The industry is going through a time of change, however, with developments in workforce planning, necessary knowledge and skills, technologies, and regulations all making an impact.

As part of the handover to the new industry cluster anticipated in late 2022, Artibus Innovation is undertaking an industry summary project which will provide an overview of current issues and opportunities in Construction, Plumbing and Services. We want to hear from industry stakeholders about their thoughts on current opportunities and innovations in Construction, as well as developments and innovations that are impacting the industry. We’re particularly concerned with key issues like digitization, automation, COVID19, and labour shortages, alongside any other trends you have noted. We want to know about how they’re impacting you and how you think they should be addressed.
